DESIGN REGISTRATION

Introduction:

A Design Registration can be done for external appearance of the shape, configuration, pattern or ornament.

Registered Designs are used primarily to protect designs for industrial use.

Procedure

. An Application is filed with 4 copies of Design.

. Clearing an Objections.

. Acceptance and Publications of Designs.

. Registered Application is valid till 10 years and further extension application is filled for five years along with prescribed fees.
